About Us
Located in Board of Education District 6 and KCS Region 2, Karns Preschool proudly serves children ages 3, 4, and 5 from across Knox County, providing a nurturing first step in their educational journey. As part of Knox County Schools, the program is dedicated to giving young learners the strongest possible start—academically, socially, and emotionally.
Students at Karns Preschool learn in a caring, play-based environment designed to build confidence, curiosity, and foundational literacy skills. Through hands-on experiences and family partnerships, children develop a love for learning that prepares them to “Thrive by Five” and beyond.
Led by Principal Jason Harris, the school emphasizes collaboration between home and school to help every child grow, learn, and thrive. Families are encouraged to stay connected and involved through events, activities, and volunteer opportunities that strengthen the sense of community and shared purpose.
